Une autre paire de manches

Visiblement, ce n’est pas la question de couple bien que nous soyons toujours dans la situation « à deux ».

Dans la rue un détail soudain, un copier-coller qui attire le regard : les mains des hommes posées sur les hanches, les doigts écartés et les rondelles des cadrans blancs aux poignets se font écho. Quelques dizaines de mètres plus loin, je retrouve le même sentiment d’assister à la matérialisation de l’écho. Dans cette variante se reflètent un bras tiré vers le bas par le poids d’un sac, et un autre qui se repose sur le coude opposé.

Sur les deux photos les corps sont tournés à l’unisson dans la même attente.

Mais ce qui m’intrigue le plus c’est la tête levée de la jeune femme à lunettes noires. Observe-t-elle le ciel ou a-t-elle peur que ses lunettes lui glissent du nez ? Car c’est ce qui est arrivé à l’homme de la première photo.

Another trick up the sleeve

Obviously the focus here is not the idea of a couple, though we are still dealing with a “pair” situation.

In the street, a sudden detail, cut-and-paste, catches the eye: the men’s hands on their hips, fingers splayed and the discs of the white dials in an echo effect. A few dozen metres further on, I once again feel as if in the presence of an echo. In this version are mirrored an arm weighed down by a bag and another one resting on the opposite elbow.

In both photos the bodies are turned in unison in a similar pose of expectation.

But what I find most intriguing is the raised head of the young woman in dark glasses. Is she observing the sky or is she afraid that her glasses will slip off her nose? Because that is what happened to the man in the first photo.
